EXPLORE JOHN’S PERSONAL APPROACH TO  CREATING CHARACTERS FOR VOICEOVER AS: 

– Students explore their creativity and build confidence
– Learn to use pitch, texture, and rhythm
– Improve script readings
– Use accents and vocal placement for characters and animals
– Add personality and emotion for real people acting roles
– Get an 8×10 autographed photo of Andy

 


John Morris at age 6, taking Kids-On-Camera classes 

JOHN TOOK HIS FIRST ACTING CLASS at Kids on Camera at age 6 and continued thru age 14.

I attended his stage performances at San Francisco’s University High School. He graduated University of California in LA.

CLASS WILL BEGIN with physical and vocal warmups

…tongue twisters, and activities focused on creating character voices.

Students work with a variety of animated film and TV scripts from The Lion King, Moanoa and more. Evaluations will be emailed within 10-12 days after class

 

HOMEWORK

We email a few one liner scripts to practice 3-5 days before Sept 27. During class new FILM and TV scripts are passed to perform and cartoon character images will help you create new characters.

PREPARE TO ANSWER THESE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS BEFORE JULY 12:

– What is your height and where do you live?
– What character voice or animal would you like to play?
– Describe 2 interests or hobbies and why you like them. What are you good at and why?
Example: I am good at baseball. I like it because___
   Be specific; choose one: sports, dance, school subject, in music, art, or something else
– Describe one past performance in acting, in dance, singing or sports.
– Choose 2 adjectives that describe you? Samples: Brave, Funny, Adventurous, Shy, etc
