ABOUT TV ACTING SKILLS & THEIR PURPOSE
Actors must use their personality and vocal expression to play a character or introduce new products and engage the viewing audience. An actor may be asked to act as if they are making a new discovery.

We email you 2 very short dialogues to practice 5 days before class.
SAMPLE DIALOGUES:
MY SHOES
PARENT: How are you?
CHILD ACTOR: Angry! My cat ate my homework and I can’t find my shoes.
PARENT: How can I help?
CHILD: I need my shoes, help me!
THE INTERNET
PARENT: Any advice for grownups who have difficulty using the Internet?
CHILD: It’s just a computer. It can’t hurt you. Face your fears.
ABOUT JUDY BERLIN, DIRECTOR/OWNER of Kids on Camera since 1981.
Judy is credentialed educator, award winning coach, casting director, pro vocalist, and stage actor. She created No. California’s first TV/Film Acting and Voiceover School for kids. She taught drama in Detroit and Chicago in schools for 10 years and performed on stage in summer stock. She coached day camps in San Francisco and Marin, from 1975 to 2019. She started classes on zoom in 2020. Judy was a vocalist in San Francisco clubs and a finalist for STARS OF TOMORROW TV SHOW hosted by Joan Rivers. Voiceover credits include Sesame Street and Macy’s.
